The part that makes no sense about Elsie's complaint is that she says this issue needs to be put to a vote... it already has been put to a vote, and passed! So I guess I fail to see what the issue is from her point of view, on why we would need to re-vote on something that has already been decided. Maybe Elsie suffers from "convenient memory" and only remembers what she wants to remember. This project has been being worked on for the past 15 years, and she just all of a sudden wants to stop the project a few months before they start construction? Interesting what crazy things people rationalize in their own minds, it never ceases to amaze me.

"access to transit"? The whole site is currently a big swath of inaccessible dirt. I don't take Metrolink regularly, but if I did I'd be extra pissed because currently it is not possible to walk to the Sunnen station from the south or west. One has to walk all the way north to the Maplewood station. As it is I avoided using the train for a concert recently. An email to Cozad and Maplewood got no response. Metro said they'd bug them, at least.

Not to mention, traffic on delmar is slow anyway, by design. How do the First responders get around now?

My favorite parts are 1) her baseless assertion that the trolley will endanger peoples' lives by delaying first responders (any precedent?), and 2) that loud, smoke-billowing DOUBLE-DECKER BUSES would somehow be more traffic-efficient and provide better ambiance than a trolley (because buses have such a great reputation in Saint Louis). If you're going to be a NIMBY, at least try to come up with half-believable complaints.

As far as I know, BJC has no plans to move or change the CWE station set-up. Boyle would be an entirely new station.

From what I've gathered, the parking garage is supposed to be a mix of employee parking and park & ride, emphasis on the former. BJC may use this parking garage to free up land closer to it core for development. Employee parking at the new Boyle garage would use some kind of transit—shuttle bus, MetroLink, monorail—to reach the core campus near Euclid.

The Cortex-Ph.2 presentation to CMT linked on NextSTL's website shows a proposed parking/BUS garage at Clayton/Boyle. Is this part of BJC's overall plans to displace Metro from their current CWE-station set-up?

Would be nice if you could actually use the "front entrance" of the Cortex building on Forest Park Ave.

In fact, the door is just for show. Obviously they don't really care about interaction with the street.

About time! I cringe each day when driving over that thing. Lets just hope this time the city doesn't decorate it like a Christmas tree as they did with the last KH viaduct.

The realignment of Shaw should do much to increase traffic flow and safety. The loss of the Daggett connect will be easily mitigated by this as well. I'd also like to see them dead end Bischoff or make it one-way east bound. This would also help to keep that area flowing.

The boys underneath have had to stop parking directly underneath it as hunks of the bridge began to damage their automobiles.

How wide are the travel lanes? If any of the lanes are wider than ten feet, especially those not along the curb, then wider sidewalks are easily accomplished without adding any width to the bridge design.
