Within the meeting materials for the upcoming Board of Commissioners meeting on Friday, Metro released a small treasure trove of data pertaining to St. Louis transit system.

In Metro’s FY 2011 which ended in June, average weekday ridership on MetroLink was 50,282, up 2.4% over FY 2010; MetroBus did even better with 84,977 riders, up 8.1%. While the year-over-year data is encouraging, ridership is still well off the mark set in FY 2008. That year, 61,573 people took MetroLink and 109,182 took MetroBus on an average weekday, a total that is about 20% higher than today.
